Nona Invie is a Minneapolis-based musician whose primary outlet is with Dark, Dark, Dark. But since 2010, she has led
an everchanging lineup of a 10-15 member womens choir and recorded several albums reimagining the work of other artists.
As City Pages writes, "Anonymous Choir.don't so much cover songs as wholly reinvent them. The instrumentation is
stripped down - usually a minimalist piano arrangement - and built back up with Invie's wounded tenor leading the
charge, and layered vocal harmonies behind her. To date they have released albums of the late Leonard Cohens songs,
re-envisioned Neil Youngss After The Gold Rush classic and a collection of soul songs from Memphis Stax label.
