ZXY was formed by the original Bass Guitarist of the NWOBHM band Witchfynde Andro Coulton, as an outlet to finally bring to the foreground his idea of a bass led rock band. In order to achieve this he invented a new way of playing Bass by using two octaves at the same time, which he has named Octave Lead Bass Guitar, and with the help of Shaz Coulton pounding a full bass type Rhythm Guitar together with Kiefer Retallick with his fresh take on rock drumming., Andro has not only found a new way of playing, but also created a wall of sound that is pure nectar to the ears of rock fans and metal fans world wide.
