Abájade is movement, collective joy, the fervor of trance. The irresistible energy of three vocals drives the audience in a modern experience of celebration and ritual!<br /><br />Our debut album Latopa profoundly explores a mystical groove crafted from the streets of Havana and the clubs of Paris. We color the Yoruba songs dedicated to the orishas with our own musical universes, adding our touches of soul and jazz, for an original sound built by eight.<br /><br />The album is called 'Latopa' as it is dedicated to the orisha Elegua who opens the way in the Afro-Cuban tradition of Santeria. Divinity of the crossroads, we feel he is emblematic of our music by the diversity of the musical paths encountered <br />on this album.<br /><br />The seven titles mix original compositions and new arrangements. They were recorded live, on analog tape and vintage microphones to capture all the warmth and energy of Abájade.
